In a significant development on the British political right, Restore Britain leader Rupert Lowe has issued a public ultimatum to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, proposing an electoral alliance ahead of the next general election.

In a video address published today, Lowe offered to put aside the bitter personal and political differences that led to his removal from Reform UK, provided Farage agrees to five hardline foundational principles .

Lowe, who was elected as one of Reform UK’s five MPs in July 2024 before a high-profile split, framed the offer as a necessary move to unite a “hopelessly divided” right wing and defeat a “looming left-wing alliance” . He warned that millions of Britons feel alienated in their own communities and that only unified, radical action can reverse the country’s trajectory.

However, the pact comes with strict conditions that would push Farage’s platform significantly further to the right. Lowe established five “red lines” for any potential cooperation :

1. Mass Deportations and Legal Immigration Crackdown Lowe demanded the full implementation of Restore Britain’s deportation policy. This includes the mandatory deportation of all illegal migrants, asserting that “mass deportations must become a political inevitability” . Furthermore, he stipulated that legal migrants who refuse to work, fail to integrate, or live in social housing should also face removal .

2. Reversing Demographic Shifts Citing projections about white Britons becoming a minority by 2063, Lowe demanded policies to reverse demographic shifts and what he termed the “Islamification of Britain”. Any alliance must agree to ban halal and kosher slaughter, the burka, cousin marriage, and Sharia courts . Additionally, Lowe insisted on the deportation of foreign national accomplices connected to grooming gangs, referencing a past disagreement with Farage on the issue .

3. Death Penalty Referendum The offer requires a commitment to holding a “full, free, and fair referendum” on reintroducing the death penalty for severe crimes . Lowe argued that keeping certain offenders alive achieves nothing for the British public.

4. Severe Public Spending Cuts To restore economic self-sufficiency, Lowe called for a program of “enormous cuts” to welfare and public spending. He challenged Farage to support long-term economic planning over short-term political popularity.

5. Barring Former Conservatives from Cabinet In a move aimed at restoring trust in Westminster, Lowe stated that former Conservative ministers who “failed our country” must be completely excluded from any future cabinet roles.

Looking Ahead Lowe emphasized that these principles will be presented to the electorate with or without Farage’s cooperation . Highlighting recent local-level cooperation between their factions in Norfolk County Council, Lowe challenged Farage to replicate this success at the national level .

The offer places the ball firmly in Farage’s court, forcing him to choose between rejecting the overture—risking further splitting the right-wing vote—or aligning with the ethnonationalist policies of Restore Britain. Reform UK has yet to issue a formal response.
